When collecting your previous training, please keep in mind that the Council allows CDA candidates to use training obtained at any time in the past. However, there are clear guidelines for what types of training are considered acceptable (GO Training) and what are not (NO Training).

-
Private training organizations
-
Vocational or technical schools
-
Resource and referral agencies
-
Early childhood education programs that sponsor training (e.g., Head Start, U.S. Military programs)
❌ NO Training (Unacceptable Training Sources)
The following training sources do not meet the Council's requirements:
-
Training from directors or coordinators of programs that do not sponsor training
-
Training obtained at conferences
-
Training provided by individual consultants
-
First Aid/CPR certification training
